Roads Committee Report

Monthly Meeting Wednesday, March 24, 2004

  • According to the Narragansett Public Works department (Scott Miller) the Town has budgeted for a total of five (5) repaving projects for the whole of Narragansett in 2004.  One project falls within Bonnet Shores Fire District, Leonard Bodwell road.
    Work is scheduled second on the list and work is expected to start in mid-April, weather permitting.
  • Drainage work on Spring Brook Road was completed this month.
  • Grading work on gravel roads is to begin in mid-April also. The only road Mr. Miller could confirm that was on the list was Allagash. He thought several side roads off of Allagash were also included.

·    Street sweeping is scheduled to start before Memorial Day weekend, to start on the north end of town. Estimated start date May 26th. The feeling is there's less debris this year than last and the work will go faster.
