Recycling Bins      

(6/5/2008) Just confirmed from Narragansett Town Hall that all Bonnet households will be receiving, 
free of charge, one blue (bottles & cans) and one green (paper) recycling cart around mid-August. 
These will be the same type and size, 64 gallon, as the new trash carts Bonnet is ordering.

 

 NO TVs, COMPUTERS and MONITORS, APPLIANCES, MATTRESSES OR BULKY ITEMS 
FOR REGULAR PICK-UP.  
These items REQUIRE SPECIAL handling AND WILL NOT BE REMOVED.

Please use covered trash cans for your waste and garbage.

  • When a Monday holiday occurs, trash will be picked up on Tuesday & (Thursday) of that week. 

  • Each home may place  1 bag of grass clippings each week   curbside Monday/Thursday 

  • Grass should be in a recyclable plastic or paper bag (unless notified otherwise.)

    Observed Holidays in Rhode Island (Trash holidays, as known, in Red).)

    Monday holidays. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (third Monday in January), Washington's Birthday (third Monday in February), Memorial Day (last Monday in May), Victory Day (second Monday in August), Labor Day (first Monday in September) and Columbus Day (second Monday in October).

    Other holidays. Sundays, New Year's Day (January 1), Rhode Island Independence Day (May 4), Independence Day (July 4), Veterans Day (November 11), Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November) and Christmas Day (December 25), and days of general state elections.

    Special rules. In the event that New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veterans' Day or Christmas Day falls on a Saturday or Sunday, state employees will celebrate the holiday on the following Monday.

Branches must be no larger than 2 inches in diameter and no longer than 3 feet. 
 
Do not leave cuttings if the dumpster has been removed. 

NO PLASTIC BAGS,  TRASH,  RECYCLABLES,  FURNITURE,  HOUSEHOLD WASTE  PLEASE.

BULKY PICK-UP DAY - July 23, 2008        Yard Sale - July 19,  2008

All items must be at curbside by 6am for pickup
Acceptable items include:

furniture, mattresses, appliances (excluding Freon units)

Excluded item are:

refrigerators,  freezers,  dehumidifiers,  air conditioners,  building supplies,  lumber,  tires,   paints,   combustibles, 
computers and monitors, TV's, other hazardous waste.  

For disposal of Freon appliances & other hazardous waste contact the Office of Waste Management for fees and scheduling     Haul-Away 401-866-7670

Christmas tree pick-up - Saturday, January TBD, 2009.    

Please have your tree out by 6AM.  The trees will not be picked up on any other day
